Using found objects and sheet steel, this scaled down battleship was designed for a particular function. After constructing the piece, I launched it into one of the local streams and shot it with a .22 caliber rifle.  The bullet penetrated the haul of the vessel and as the water eventually filled the inside of the piece it sank to the bottom of the streams floor.  When presented, it is placed within a glass tank and is filled with water.  After several days, the steel will begin to corrode and the water in the tank will reveal a murky yet beautiful reemergence of a tragic event.
