The Possibilities of Research--The Promise of Practice
Published in Art Education, Mar 2017
Visual arts and design change the way we think about the possibilities of research and the promise of improving educational practice. We take a closer look at practitioner research, endorsing recent developments that expand the roles of art educators and artists in educational and cultural communities. By offering a sketch of three systems of inquiry and a specific focus on practitioner research we re-consider the promise of visual arts practice because educators and artists speak the same language.
