SoVA Portfolio Day in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Portfolio Day

If you are a high school student in the Philadelphia area interested in an art degree, SoVA’s Portfolio Day at The Penn State Center, Engaging Philadelphia, Saturday, April 9, is for you!

The portfolio day is an opportunity for students to receive individualized feedback from SoVA’s acclaimed faculty of artists, designers, and art educators. In addition to portfolio reviews, faculty representatives will provide portfolio-building tips, as well as answer questions about professional careers in art, art education, and design.

Bring examples of your artwork that best capture your creativity and unique way of thinking and seeing. Works can be in their original or digital form.

Portfolio reviews will take place from noon to 4:00 PM, during which time students will make personal connections with SoVA faculty, gain clarity on Penn State’s admissions processes, and most importantly, get a glimpse into the special community that is SoVA.

Although a portfolio is not required for first year entrance to SoVA, a successful portfolio review is required to gain entry into a specific major.
