SoVA Offers First Portfolio Day Event at University Park Campus

Creating Artwork for Portfolio

Penn State School of Visual Arts (SoVA) will host a Portfolio Day at the University Park campus on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

SoVA offers degrees in art and design disciplines and art education, giving students the experiences and facilities they need to prepare for exciting and productive professional careers.

The Portfolio Day event provides an opportunity for prospective students to have their portfolio reviewed by SoVA’s acclaimed faculty of artists, designers, and art educators. In addition to portfolio reviews, faculty representatives will provide portfolio-building tips, as well as answer questions about professional careers in art, art education, and design.

Our Portfolio Day will begin with a presentation by Penn State Admissions and a walking tour of the University Park campus provided by Penn State’s Lion Ambassadors. A complimentary lunch will be provided at the nearby dining commons and students will be given the opportunity to explore Leete Hall, the newly renovated residence hall that serves as the Arts and Architecture Interest House. In addition, current SoVA students will be on hand to provide tours of our studios and facilities.

Availability for portfolio reviews is limited. Prospective students should reserve their review time soon. For complete registration details, and to reserve your portfolio review time, email tmk7@psu.edu, or call 814-863-2761.
