SoVA alum receives top prize in Philadelphia 76ers Mentoring Art Contest

D'Nae Harrison receives award

Congratulations to D'nae Harrison (BFA '14) who recently received first place (in her category) as part of the Philadelphia 76ers Mentoring Art Contest (MaC). MaC is a Philadelphia competition to encourage and empower youth to express their ideas about mentorship through visual and literary storytelling.

In her award letter, panel of judges said, “The Sixers and its program partners believe in the transformative potential of mentorship for children and young adults. Your artwork embodies this fact, and our team would like to use it to share this message with the world.”

On hand to congratulate the award winners was Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and 76ers legend Allen Iverson.
