Local SoVA Alumni Show "a Legacy of Creative Endeavors"

The Bellefonte Art Museum for Centre County is pleased to present a Legacy of Creative Endeavors, an exhibit of the creative and diverse artwork of thirty-seven Penn State School of Visual Arts (SoVA) alumni, who continue to reside and work in Centre County. The exhibition will be on display through September 29 in the Formal Gallery on the first floor of the museum.

All the artists in this special exhibit show a high level of individual skill and focus and their works display an extensive range of media, in both traditional and experimental forms. Paintings, ceramics, photographs, prints, fiber arts, video, and work executed in unusual materials, such as sugar and cellophane tape, are included.  Individually expressive works, created from each artist’s point of view, make for a diverse and engaging exhibit.

Participating artists include: Sylvia Apple, Joan Blasko, Cazia Bradley, Nancy Brassington, Dennis Charriere, Cindy Doliana, Jennifer Dolan Kelly, James Farrah, Benjamin Fehl, Kim Gates Flick, Melissa Forkner, Jean Forsberg, Ghislaine Fremaux, Susan Nicholas Gephart, Elody Gyekis, Jake Johnson, Liza Johnson, Sarah Kipp, Beverly Klucher, John Mangan, Jeff Mathison, Mark Messenger, Jeanne McKinney, Linna Muschlitz, Kim Morrison, Cynthia Nixon, Katarin Parizek, Susan Parsonage, Mary Lou Pepe, Michele Randall, Keith Shapiro, Wendy Snetsinger, William Snyder III, Jeanne Stevens-Sollman, Jennifer Anne Tucker, Mary Vollero, and Denise Wagner.
