John M. Anderson Lecture Series Welcomes Visting Artist Christa Assad

The John M. Anderson Endowed Lecture Series is proud to present visiting artist and lecturer, Christa Assad, Monday, September 9, at 4:30 p.m. in the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium.
Assad is a San Francisco Bay Area-based artist. She received a B.A. degree from Penn State in 1992 and an M.F.A from Indiana University in 2000. She has exhibited widely both in the United States and overseas, and was named "Ceramic Artist of the Year" by Ceramics Monthly in 2012. Her work is in the permanent collection of The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the Penn State Fullbright Scholar Collection, and the Ceramic Research Center at Arizona State University. Assad's work is featured in the Uncanny Congruencies exhibition at the Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State on display September-December 2013.
