The Penn State University School of Visual Arts (SoVA) first-year Master of Fine Arts exhibition, Nonagon opens at the Edwin W. Zoller Gallery on February 8, 2016. After one semester of integrating into the program, first-year students exhibit their work, which will be on display through February 19, 2016. We invite you to attend the public reception (with light refreshments) Monday, February 8 at 5:00 p.m. in the gallery.
Nonagon is a group exhibition showcasing the work of SoVA’s first-year M.F.A. students. The work represents many different media, including ceramics, film, print, painting, and sculpture. The artists are presenting work specific to their conceptual and material explorations while keeping curatorial concerns of working as a group in mind. The exhibition features a variety of personal perspectives that allow common themes to emerge when displayed together.
Participating artists include Kristina Davis, Valerie Dillon, Alvaro Jordan, Lindsey Landfried, Courtney Michaud, Elham Nooghi, Hillel O'Leary, Stephanie Seguin, and Penelope Van Grinsven.
