Convergence of Two SoVA Public Presentations

Professors Christine Thompson and Graeme Sullivan both found themselves in Vancouver around the same time, giving invited presentations – Christine was giving the 2012 Bob Steele Lecture in Art Education at the University of British Columbia, and Graeme Sullivan gave the keynote address at the annual conference of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), at Emily Carr University.   Professor Christine Thompson, of the Penn State School of Visual Arts Art Education Department, provided the keynote lecture Tracing Lines of Flight: Flows and Intensities of Children Drawing as part of the Bob Steele Lecture in Art Education.  Dr. Thompson's lecture took place on Monday October 29 at the University of British Columbia.   Graeme Sullivan, Director of SoVA, gave the opening address at the annual conference of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), held at Emily Carr University, Vancouver, November 1, 2012. The title of his presentation was Re-Making Research: The Vision Thing.
