1.  Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA and at least 48 credits completed (at the time of application).

2.  Meet PRAXIS PPST-READING current qualifying scores
3.  Meet PRAXIS PPST-WRITING current qualifying scores
4.  Meet PRAXIS PPST-MATHEMATICS current qualifying scores        

Proof of qualifying scores in reading, writing, and math must be sent to the Art Education Office. 

5.  Complete 6 credits in quantification (GQ)                
6.  Complete 3 credits in literature (GH)  (C or higher required)
7.  Complete early field experience - A ED 101S (C or higher required)       
8.  Complete ENGL 015 or 030, & professional foundations: EDPSY 014,  PSYCH 100 (C or higher required in professional foundations)                                 

9. Successfully completed 9 credits from the following list:
Art 197B, Art 197S, Art 201, Photo 100, Philosophy 005 or 109, Art History 111, 112. [With change in studio foundations Fall 2008, to be determined: Complete professional art education courses A ED 211, 212, 201W, & art foundations: ART 110S, 111, 122Y, ART H 111, 112 (C or higher required)]

 
10. Complete minimum 40 hours with "under-represented", age-appropriate population prior to ETM semester (hrs. count toward # 11 below)  

11. Complete minimum 80 hours age-appropriate work prior to ETM semester (includes hrs. in #10 above)

Completed and documented a minimum of 80 hours of paid or volunteer work with age-appropriate population. At least 40 of these age-appropriate 80 hours would be satisfied by working with learners whose cultural, social, or ethnic backgrounds differ from the candidate's own.
