The Teaching with Technology program benefits graduate teaching assistants. Graduate teaching assistants are invited to participate in the Teaching with Technology (TWT) certificate program, detailed at http://tlt.its.psu.edu/support/twt/ online. Through the free program, graduate students apply existing technology skills, acquire new skills, and develop a philosophy about teaching with technology. They assemble an online portfolio highlighting their knowledge and skills, under the guidance of the art education program representative. Upon approval of the portfolio, students receive a certificate from The Graduate School. This is especially valuable when seeking teaching positions, as employers are looking for personnel who have strong technology skills and can make decisions about appropriate use of technologies in education.
